“I found Wedding Planning in a somewhat unorthodox way. I was a Music Theatre major in college which I think plays a big part in coordinating, designing and directing. The other aspect of my background that influences how I plan weddings is the service industry. Prior to planning weddings I bartended, managed restaurants, waited tables, catered large events etc. I certainly didn’t grow up dreaming of a career in wedding planning. It was only after I hired a wedding planner for my own wedding and saw how invaluable of a service it was that I thought of doing it myself professionally. Wedding planning takes all of my seemingly random skills and piles them into one exciting career!”

When people ask if we travel, I tell them that we can coordinate anywhere but the big advantage to hiring a “local” wedding planner is that we know the area and all of the area vendors. Matching couples up with the right “team” is one of the most important services we provide.”

Favorite wedding day memory(s) as a wedding pro? Or favorite part of the process?

“Of course there are the big “payoffs” like watching the bride and groom see each other for the first time or sitting back looking at all of the guests dancing at the end of the night and knowing we helped create a memorable day in these peoples lives but really I love all of the back end logistics that go into planning the perfect day. Matching the couples up with the perfect team of vendors and collaborating on details is really the most exciting part for me. ”
