"The first wedding I directed was for a close friend over twenty years ago while I was still in college at Appalachian State. I found great joy in helping her pull together the last strings of her wedding ceremony. After graduating with a degree in communications with a concentration in public relations, minor in psychology and voice performance I began working at a local country club doing event planning for corporate, non-profit and social events. I enjoyed my work with each client and found an ease to helping them pull off a successful, stress free event. As a few years passed I realized that I enjoyed planning weddings specifically due to the close nit relationships I established with my brides and their families. I also learned that I had a talent for floral and reception décor as I taught myself the ends and outs of creating bouquets, ceremony and reception arrangements. In 2007 I officially opened Tara B’s Eventful Planning with the help of a supportive husband and children. Since then I have planned, directed and decorated weddings of large and small scale." - Tara Bland
