“There is nothing more magical than standing in front of all of your friends and family in the presence of the Lord and saying, “I DO!” This by far was the most important part of the day, and why we had the people that supported us and shaped us throughout our lives there to celebrate. We were there to begin our covenant with God, and we were blessed to be able to do so in the most beautiful church. From there, we had so much fun dancing, eating, singing, and catching up with all of our loved ones. It was a perfectly beautiful day.”
What better way to start off this Fall season than sharing this gorgeous Fall wedding on the blog? What a lovely Fall wedding Faith + Howard had! The ceremony took place on a mountaintop, a chapel at 3200 feet elevation, The Glassy Chapel and the reception at the Keowee Vineyards Lakehouse in Sunset, South Carolina.
What an amazing weekend we had with these guys and their loved ones! They had their wedding weekend celebration at Twickenham House in Jefferson, NC. Cannot wait to share more of their story in a full wedding blog, which will be coming soon, but for now, here's a behind the scenes look and some aerial footage of the beautiful mountain landscape. It. was. gorgeous.

Brittany + Brian had a dream wedding up in the Blue Ridge Mountains last year during the beautiful Fall season. This Spring we had the opportunity to team up with a local group of North Carolina wedding professionals to collaborate on a unique and authentic styled shoot at Providence Cotton Mill in Maiden, NC...
For the concept and feel, and story of the shoot, we first and foremost wanted it to be "real", genuine and authentic, and in a sense "pure and simple", and so when selecting our models for the shoot, we wanted them to be a real-life couple with a beautiful story and great chemistry, and what a blessing it was to find our models, Saied and Jessica, who were absolute ROCK stars!
These two tied the know at Overlook Barn last September in Banner Elk, NC. We loved how Chelsea + Herb pushed aside the traditions and made sure their wedding day was exactly the way they wanted it to be. Here are some highlights from their lovely mountain wedding get-a-way...
“Every moment of our wedding will be treasured forever. Being a military family means parting ways with the ones you love all the time, this was the first time we had everyone together and it will be forever cherished. From the groom getting high-fived by dad or the bride slow dancing with the flower girl to the wedding party Disney karaoke dance party. Everything was perfect.”
Thinking back on Abby + Aaron's wedding day.... beautiful tears of joy, heartfelt emotion, laughter, celebration, realness, and true love. These two and their loved ones enjoyed and celebrated their wedding day to the fullest, and it was absolutely beautiful.
"Spending an entire week in a house at the beach with friends and family and ending it with a perfect wedding was a dream come true for both of us. Because we opted for a small DIY wedding, we felt everything was so intimate. We could focus on each other and our commitment."
"...We Met in Yellowstone National Park on a Photography Workshop in late February 2014. We captured much more than stunning photographs. We fell in love. I kissed her in the snow in Bozeman, Montana a week later..."

Troy + Amy celebrated their wedding day at Overlook Barn, a beautiful spot in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The day was easygoing, heartwarming and real, filled with celebration, good cheer and good music. It was a taste of North Carolina mixed with Troy's Australian culture.

“The amazing food! Hiking through the trees in heels and almost falling down the hill. The most perfect fall day. Our officiant laughing hysterically during the ceremony when reading our quirky messages to each other. Sitting around the fire at the end of the night enjoying each other and our family.”
Agh! One of our weddings (actually, a few images from several weddings all throughout the guide, be sure to check out each page for some highlights from other weddings as well!) was featured in the latest issue of High South Weddings Magazine!

Nikki + Ryan said their vows in late summertime at River Run Farm in Valle Crucis, NC. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony along the banks of the Watauga River. The reception was in the barn, with live bluegrass music and a vintage-bohemian feel.
“We met in the USAF and have been together for 5 years now. My husband proposed to me at the Space needle in Seattle WA. We were in transit on our way to South Korea to do a year long tour there together. We had dinner at the restaurant and he proposed during the dinner. He asked me the question and I was so excited I didn’t even say yes! Haha I said DUH!!! He thought that was pretty funny.”
