“We met at work and were brought together over our love of dogs. I had two and Robert had three, so our household is a melded, Brady Bunch family of sorts with our four-legged children. We are laid-back, down-to-earth, passionate people who love to laugh as much as possible and love our friends and family even more.”
“We chose The Liberty in Elkin, a tobacco warehouse in its former life in the early 1900’s, for its historic charm and character. Robert is a woodworker by trade, so we were immediately drawn to the original floors of the space along with the exposed brick, high ceilings and industrial feel.”

“This striped fabric gown is a modern style statement. The strapless sweetheart neckline crosses over into a pleated bodice, where the stripes create a modern zig-zag pattern. The full A-line skirt has cross-over draped side panels and a ruched front that gathers into a bubble hem.”
“We wanted our day to be comfortable, eclectic and about our appreciation for each other and our loved ones. Rustic chic was the look we were going for. Robert made the arbor under which we had our ceremony. His mother, who is a local potter, made the dishes that went along with bars of local goat milk soap that were given out as our favors. From burlap table runners, to vintage milk bottles and local flowers as centerpieces, and a dessert bar with several delicious sweet treats, including mixed berry trifles with fruit from the Elkin Farmer’s Market, our day was a representation of us and the local area. ”
